Pencil Caricatures (from photos)

You can have a basic, 'head and shoulders' caricature (black and white or colour), with the subject holding a few objects e.g. raising a drink, or go further and have a 'full-figure' illustration featuring lots of hobbies and interests around the subject.  Price includes a basic background. If you wish to have a much more detailed one e.g. large buildings,/scenes with a lot more going on, the price will increase to cover the extra creation time. 

Pencil caricatures will require at least 1 - 2 weeks notice (earlier deadlines may be possible depending on workload). Once I have confirmed that I can meet your deadline and requirements, I'll then need a few details and a selection of photos from you.

The better the photo, the better the caricature! Please send me a minimum of 5 photographs (emailed if possible please and no more than 8) of each subject, which you feel represent the individual accurately. Make sure that there is a variety in the photos you send me, for example, please don't just send photos of the subject in the same pose, with the same facial expression. If you have photos of them with different expressions, perhaps even pulling a funny face, even better! No sunglasses please (unless you specifically want them included). Photos should be high quality, supplied in colour, taken in good lighting and, if possible, from different angles too (this gives a much better idea of the individual’s characteristics and from this a better likeness is achieved).

Proof sketches are only available on 'full- figure' Illustrations. A  single pencil outline proof sketch is available for the customer to  approve composition and content. Please note, this sketch won't include  faces as it is harder to show a true likeness with a single pencil  outline. Subjects are usually shown smiling unless a specific look is  required. Once this sketch has been approved, the completed illustration  is then completed to meet the requested deadline.​

Once I've confirmed that I can accept the commission and you've confirmed that you wish to proceed, I will email payment methods to you. This may be made by electronic bank transfer, cheque or PayPal (transaction fee applies with PayPal orders). Unfortunately, I do not accept company Purchase Orders.

I offer a black wooden frame, which includes a mount too.  The mount can even have a personal title/message from you, added for free in a specially cut hole! These frames come with a good quality 'post friendly' acrylic. With the back also sealed with framing tape to keep it sealed, the final outside size of the frame is 54cm x 44cm. It also comes complete with fittings and cord added too!
