An Introduction - Why choose Caricatures for your Entertainment?

Without a doubt, the biggest challenges in my chosen career path, has been to draw... 'LIVE'!  

When I first started, I only drew caricatures from photos. The thought of drawing people 'live', terrified me. It wasn't just the act of putting pencil to paper either, it was also how to interact with subjects too, while I was drawing. Would I be able to do this? Surely, I'd need to concentrate 100% in what I was doing on the paper in front of me without interruptions? Plus, there was the worry of what reactions I'd get, when I turned the paper round! Coupled with what on-lookers would be saying, made it even more a no-go area to even think about having a go at drawing live! But that all changed, after I did my first gig.

Working at a wedding, adrenaline kicks in to help in producing something unique and funny for guests. Something they'll hopefully pop on their walls to make them laugh on the way to the kitchen. Perhaps, triggering that memory of 'Sophie and Harry's wonderful wedding', where they posed for a caricature! My dedication to create something that makes people laugh, never waivers. My job is just... THE best!

Plus of course, with friends family and customers to train on, I would never have got there. Thanks to them and all for your support and help, after 15 years drawing caricatures live, it's been an amazing ride so far!
